Enjoy the feeling of summer all year long with tropical or exotic fruit wines found online. Fruit wine may have fewer calories than most mixed summer drinks

Many of the sweet or tangy tropical wines become an acquired taste after enjoying the sophistication of red wines or subtle whites. Some tropical fruit wines sparkle like champagne. Some are citrus and tart tasting such as grapefruit wine. Tropical fruits used in wines come from warm sunny places around the world but can often be purchased online.

Wine Calories in Tropical Fruit or Non-Grape Wines

Wine calories vary with the alcohol percent. Non-grape fruit wines usually have less than 13 % alcohol content. A 13% wine usually has about 20 calories per ounce. The fruit calories are only a small percent of the drink since their sugars are converted into the alcohol.

An advantage to using tropical fruit wine in a smoothie is there is no need to add additional fruit or calories to a white or red wine base. The tropical wine already has the fruit, so any added fruit makes it richer. Sugar isn’t needed, so calories are reduced.
